Renee's Adoptables: Meet Polly!

  • Meet Polly!

Beautiful Polly is a 21 month old, 48 lb. female Black Labrador/Terrier mix who has been patiently waiting in our rescue for her forever home. When you meet Polly, you will see how playful, fun and affectionate she is. She loves going on walks and for car rides (especially if there is doggie ice-cream involved!) and is the ultimate snuggle bug if you want a couch buddy too. As a younger dog, she's got a full life of adventures and spoiling in her future and can't wait to be picked!

Polly is fully house trained, great on the leash and should adapt well to crate training in a home. Polly prefers to be your one and only pet, as she's selective with some dogs she meets. If you want a loveable lab in your life and enjoy a monogamous dog relationship, Polly might just be your girl. Polly is at all of our adoption events but we're happy to schedule a personal meeting with her outside of our busy adoption events if you're qualified to adopt with us, so you can see how truly special she is.

Start the process by submitting an Adoption Application now. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

The adoption fee for Polly is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today.

About Dog Star Rescue

Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 6,000 dogs with new, forever families.

We are all volunteers!

All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
